Dance, Fitness, Summer & Smoothies

Summer is approaching fast and I want to share with you guys my ideas on some fun things to do to keep in shape over summer.

Being a dancer, keeping fit is a number one priority.

That goes for any time of year, not just summer... So, here are my 3 simple-to-remember top tips.

1. The Breakfast Tip

Always eat breakfast! Mix it up, be adventurous. Try homemade smoothies, fruit and yoghurt topped with Granola.. Yummy! If you are stuck for ideas search pinterest for something like Healthy Breakfast Recipes!

2. The Exercise Tip

Try to exercise 3-5 times a week. Yoga, swimming, running... These are my favourite to do over summer! If you are someone that gets bored really easily while exercising, drag a friend out with you, you can have so much fun together - you might even forget you're exercising!

3. Stretch!

Stretch stretch STRETCH!!! Over the summer break, dance is usually closed so you are not in the studio being told to stretch all the time. I love to stretch over summer because it is lovely and hot so you are less likely to strain your muscles. Also am I the only one who feels more flexible in summer??? (Let me know in the comments below!)

By doing these simple steps over summer, when you go back to
dancing after the break you will feel great and be less likely to injure yourself as you have kept your muscles working! Although doing all of this is super fun, make sure you take time to relax and go to the beach!! You also need some 'me time' to allow yourself to reflect on things and be thankful for the wonderful life you have.

I really hope you have enjoyed reading this, and I can't wait to write my next blog for you all! If you have any questions or anything you'd like to hear from me please write them in the comments below!

Lots of Love Liv
